Colleen Brent is a cake designer and maker, and the owner of Cakealicious Cakes. Colleen worked for many years as the head pastry chef at the Gold restaurant in London, before returning home to Dunedin to realise her dream of opening a boutique cakery.
Colleen is a member of the international cake decorating organisation International Cake Exploration Societe (ICES) and the New Zealand Cake Decorators Guild. Colleen has received a number of awards for her sugar craft work. Her cakes have appeared in magazines worldwide, including: Vogue, Four, Gourmet and Cuisine.
Colleen has been instrumental in organising the monthly tea party for the support group Caregivers living with Alzheimer’s.
Perfectly situated in the handsome historic Crown Mill building, Cakealicious Cakes was opened in January, 2016. Cakealicious Cakes is a cake kitchen with a salon dedicated to client consultations and cake tasting sessions. Visits to Cakealicious Cakes are by appointment only.
